YouTube to Spotify Playlist Converter

A YouTube to Spotify playlist converter rebuilds a YouTube playlist on Spotify, and Spotivibly does it by searching Spotify once for each video in the playlist. Deleted and private videos are skipped, and videos it cannot match are reported when the conversion ends.

Paste a public YouTube playlist URL to find Spotify tracks from its video titles. Spotivibly creates a new public playlist on a Spotivibly curator Spotify account and gives you a link to open it. You can start without signing in or connecting Spotify.

Review the matched count and destination tracks when conversion finishes. Title parsing and search results can produce a different recording or no match. The source YouTube playlist is only read, and the new Spotify playlist does not replace or modify it.

How to convert a YouTube playlist to Spotify

  1. Copy the YouTube playlist link Choose a public YouTube playlist and copy its link. The URL needs a list= parameter identifying the playlist. A watch URL carrying that parameter also works as input. Check that you have included the playlist identifier rather than just the identifier of one video.
  2. Paste the link and check your allowance Enter the URL in the YouTube playlist field. Review the conversion allowance shown on the page. No Spotivibly account is required to start. If you have an account, signing in applies its allowance. The per-conversion track cap still applies when the source contains more videos.
  3. Select Convert to Spotify Start the conversion and wait while Spotivibly reads the video titles and searches Spotify for tracks. Deleted and private video entries are skipped. The converter uses the song and artist information it can extract from each title, with the channel name as a fallback artist.
  4. Review the matched tracks and warnings Read the matched count and any notice that only part of the source was processed. Expand the list of tracks not found when it appears. That list contains up to ten entries, so it is not necessarily a complete list of all unresolved tracks in a long playlist.
  5. Open the new Spotify playlist Select Open in Spotify to visit the public playlist created on a Spotivibly curator account. Review its tracks before using it as your replacement playlist. If you are signed in to Spotivibly, Save to Library records the conversion in your Spotivibly library. It does not change the Spotify playlist owner.

What transfers to Spotify

The destination contains Spotify catalogue tracks found from the YouTube entries. The playlist name is carried over with common YouTube labels removed, and the description records the conversion and match count. Video files, comments and the original YouTube description are not copied into the Spotify playlist.

How titles become Spotify searches

The parser removes common title suffixes and recognises patterns such as Artist - Song and Song by Artist. When neither pattern fits, it uses the cleaned title as the song and the channel name as the artist. Spotify is searched with those terms, and the first track result is selected.

What a shorter result means

Deleted and private video entries are skipped before searching. A search without a returned track leaves an unresolved entry. The result can therefore contain fewer Spotify tracks than the source has videos. Check the match count separately from any track cap warning, since those describe different reasons for a shorter playlist.

Conversion allowances and track caps

Both converter directions count towards the same allowance of completed conversions. Anonymous users get 3 per rolling 24 hours per IP, and free accounts get 20 per calendar month. Pro and admin accounts have unlimited conversions. The server caps each conversion at 50 tracks for anonymous or free users and 100 for Pro or admin.

Source privacy and destination visibility

Spotivibly reads the YouTube playlist metadata and item titles without changing the source playlist. The Spotify destination is public and belongs to a Spotivibly curator account. Saving a conversion record in your Spotivibly library is separate from ownership of that Spotify playlist. Review the public destination before sharing its link.

When a conversion cannot finish

An unavailable source produces a notice, while an empty list or a search with no matches cannot produce a converted playlist. Provider rate limits can also block the request. Read the returned error before trying again. A failed lookup is not proof that a recording is absent from the Spotify catalogue.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect Spotify to convert a YouTube playlist?

No. The converter uses a Spotivibly curator Spotify account to create a public playlist and returns a link. You do not connect your Spotify account in this flow. Signing in to Spotivibly also makes Save to Library available for the conversion record.

What are the YouTube to Spotify conversion limits?

Without an account, you get 3 completed conversions per rolling 24 hours per IP. A free account gets 20 per calendar month. Pro and admin accounts have unlimited conversions. The track cap is 50 for anonymous and free users, or 100 for Pro and admin. These conversion allowances are shared with Spotify to YouTube.

Why should I review the Spotify matches?

The converter cleans the YouTube title, extracts a song and artist, and uses the first Spotify track search result. It does not compare the recordings themselves. Review the destination playlist if you need a particular version, because a returned search result is not a guarantee of the same recording.

Will the converter modify my YouTube playlist?

No. The source playlist is only read, never modified. The converter creates a separate public Spotify playlist. It does not delete YouTube videos, reorder the source playlist or change its visibility.
